Good morning!
Over the weekend I watched A beautiful day in the neighborhood- the biopic of Fred Rogers with Tom Hanks. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but it was a beautiful movie and not your typical biopic. It didn’t just center on his life and what he did, it was from the point of view of a writer for esquire who had to do an assignment piece on Mr Rogers. That’s all I’ll say in case you want to see it.
It was a perfect illustration of what getting out of self is all about. Mr Rogers was the most selfless person I can think of and should serve as a North Star for those of us in the program. I thought of you and the message that you convey many times while I was watching it.
This movie should be required viewing for any of us working the 12 steps in my opinion.
Happy viewing!
