Hi Clay,

I read your book and absolutely loved it. I especially related to the prologue. I am in a different 12 step fellowship though. I was also actually told by a sponsor of mine that I needed 30 days before working the steps and never got there. I then left the fellowship and didn't return for 6 years (it was a combination of a few factors, but one of them was I couldn't get sober long enough to start the steps).

Anyway, I was hoping for more of an explanation in the epilogue. What is the new understanding of the big book that your friend passed to you?

(by the way, I find it interesting that Bill W basically started with step 12)
